Bruce Scott, Program Director

sss_066
A standout at Benedictine Military School in Savannah, Ga., Bruce led his team to a city championship as a sophomore in 1990. The Cadet was a first team All-City selection after being appointed captain his senior year and went on to earn a scholarship to the College of Charleston in South Carolina.

While playing for Coach Ralph Lundy, Bruce was a member of the team that finished as TAAC Conference champions three consecutive years. In 1994 Bruce was named to the Cougar side that traveled to Europe to compete internationally. With a record of 7-1-1, this preseason European tour prepared the College for a 19-7 94'-95' season that would see them finish top 8 in the nation as NCAA division 1 quarter finalists.

Drafted as a first round pick in 1996, the Cougar began his professional career in the EISL where injury would eventually force him out of the indoor game. Bruce ended his career on a high note as a two time NASTII national champion...once in 1999 and again as his teams' captain in 2001.

In addition to being a director with Suarez Soccer School, Bruce has experience as an instructor with Coerver Coaching and as a coach with programs including Ralph Lundy Soccer Academy, Citadel Soccer Academy, Mt. Pleasant, Summerville & James Island Soccer Clubs and as a counselor with Special Olympics.
